TATTOO AND PIERCING CARE
- Tattoo and piercing care is very important part of any new body art.
- Clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap at least 3 to 5 times a day, for the first 2 weeks.
- Leave a bandage on your body art for 20-30 minutes after cleaning.
- Pat tattoo dry with a towel.
- Do not pick or scratch your tattoo as it heals.
- Rub a small amount of fragrance free lotion 3 to 5 times a day for the first 2 weeks. (We recommend Curel hand lotion or Aquaphor)
- Keep tattoo away from direct sunlight. This includes tanning beds.
- Stay out of swimming pools, hot tubs, steam baths, oceans, lakes, saunas etc. for at least 2 weeks.
- Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, cocoa butter, or anything with vitamin E, for at least 6 weeks.
- GENERAL PIERCING CARE:
- DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, or any ointments on your piercing.
- DO NOT allow your new piercing to come into contact with any bodily fluids.
- DO NOT submerge your new piercing. (NO pools, hot tubs, bath tubs, etc.)
- DO NOT touch your new piercing for any reason. This includes spinning or trying to clean out the hole.
- NO intercourse for at least two weeks or until it is healed and comfortable.
- Follow all rules under the general piercing section.
- Wear round, waterproof, non-medicated band-aid until instructed otherwise.
- Clean AROUND your anchor once a day, after showering.
- DO NOT try to clean underneath your anchor. Doing this may cause your dermal anchor to lift out of your skin.
- User a spray bottle to remove soap, and gently pat dry.
- Try to keep dry and in place for at least 15 minutes before applying band-aid. Failure to do this will cause it not to stick.
- Take your piercing care seriously.
